One on One with Shane Hogan
Shane Hogan, originally from Yonkers, embarked on his football career at St. Barnabas in Woodlawn, an Irish neighborhood in The Bronx known as "Little Ireland." He broke new ground for Irish Americans in the sport by becoming the first player to progress through the New York Minor Board and earn a place on the senior county team, where he competed in the All-Ireland Championship. Following eight seasons at the county level, he continued his career with St. Barnabas at the senior level until 2024. Passionately in love with the game, Hogan will continue to play for the NYPD Gaelic Football Club, a team made up of current and former police officers.
