Hello, I was born and raised in Maspeth, New York, a neighborhood in Queens with a strong Irish presence. My parents immigrated to the United States from Ireland in the 1980s and raised me in a household heavily influenced by Irish heritage and culture. I grew up playing and watching Gaelic Football and want to take the opportunity with my capstone to promote the sport and my culture. I explored the grassroots of football in New York through the Minor Board and spoke with former players and club officials about the success and future of the sport in the Big Apple.
